Inclusion criteria: Age 16-35Referred to one of the three mental healthcare institutions collecting dataParticipants must have filled in the Prodromal Questionnire (PQ16) or Mood Disorder Questionnaire NL (MDQ-NL)Sufficient knowledge of Dutch or English languageAbility to give informed consent
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Learning difficulties, organic brain disease or severe neurological impairment.Current severe substance or alcohol misuse (clinicians’ assessment)

| This study primarily focuses on the evaluation of the questionnaire, with specific emphasis on: (i) testing dimensionality and underlying constructs, (ii) assessing reliability, and (iii) evaluating validity.The SIBARS is a semi-structured interview consisting of four scales: (i) the mania scale, (ii) the depression scale, (iii) the depression with mixed features scale, and (iv) the cyclothymic temperament scale. Each scale comprises multiple items: 10 items in the mania scale, 10 in the depression scale, 7 in the depression with mixed features scale, and 17 in the cyclothymic temperament scale, totaling 44 items.The outcome of the SIBARS assessment is categorical and results in one of three possible classifications: (i) at increased risk for bipolar disorder, (ii) presence of bipolar disorder, or (iii) no increased risk for bipolar disorder. | — |
