Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Frequency analysis and t-tests with fixed value will be used to analyze whether children in foster care show a similar amount of symptoms of prolonged grief disorder as bereaved children. This will provide information on how often symptoms of prolonged grief occur and the amount of symptoms children in foster care have. Correlational research will be used to test if there is a relation between the scores on the IPG-C and: age, gender, age of placement in foster care, amount of movements, amount of adverse childhood experiences Statistical analyses will be performed using SPSS, version 24. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |

| To test the hypothesis that the problem of prolonged grief is a problem for foster children distinguishable from attachment problems, posttraumatic stress problems or behavioral problems a regression analysis will be performed. | — |
