Eligibility

Age
12 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: In order to be eligible to participate in this study, a subject must meet all of the following criteria: a) Have the age of at least 12 until (and including) 17 years old b) Have a presence of increased suicidal ideation: score >1 on the Suicidal Ideation Attributes Scale or >1 on theVOZZ suicide-items c) Currently receiving treatment (Care-as-usual) at GGZ Oost-Brabant d) Adequate proficiency in the Dutch language e) Have suicidal intrusions that are experienced as a burden: score > 1 on the Suicidal Intrusions Attributes Scale

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: A potential subject who meets any of the following criteria will be excluded from participation in this study: 1. DSM-V Psychotic disorder 2. DSM-V Depression with psychotic symptoms 3. DSM-V Autism Spectrum Disorder 4. EMDR Trajectory in treatment as usual

- To measure the effects of EMDT in this population. Do participants show a reduction in the frequency and severity of suicidal intrusions, suicidal ideation and depression after treatment, and are these effects similar to those in adults?
