Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Admitted to the CvGT (centrum voor geriatrische traumatologie) at ZGT (Ziekenhuisgroep Twente) or the trauma surgery departments at MST (Medisch Spectrum Twente) or DZ (Deventer Ziekenhuis).Hospitalized for a hip fracture.Hip fracture surgery.70 years or older.Discharge destination home.Has a smartphone or tablet.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Informed consent cannot be obtained from the patient.Being judged by their treating physician as unable to participate.Diagnosis dementia.Unable to communicate sufficiently in Dutch.Deafness.More than one fracture.

| The main study parameter is physical activity measured with the MOX. Physical activity will consist of the intensity of physical activity and the frequency and number of minutes of lying/sitting, standing, and walking per day. | — |

| Patients will undergo low burden, low risk measurements related to daily functioning and mobility at hospital discharge and two, four, six and twelve weeks after hospital discharge. These measurements can be collected verbally by the patient answering a few short questions (FAC, FMS, Katz-6-ADL, BI, social context, NPRS). In addition, at hospital discharge and two, four and six weeks after hospital discharge patients will undergo a measurement related to mobility (TUG). Six weeks after hospital discharge, in addition to the mentioned clinimetrics, a questionnaire on quality of life (EQ-5D-5L) and a short interview on barriers and facilitators for being physically active and for using the MOX application will be administered. | — |
