18 Years to 64 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Research will be conducted with medical professionals on their use of the toolkit and its effects. The following inclusion criteria: Currently practicing in the field of sexual healthcare in the Netherlands or Italy. Having experience working with the Ask&Tell! Toolkit with queer IMMI individuals.Fluent in English or Dutch and willing to conduct an interview via video call, as the interview will be conducted in English or Dutch and online. IMMI individuals: Individuals with Multi-Minority Identities individuals, those who identify outside of heterosexual and/or cisgender norms (queer), and who also fall under the category of IMMI, meaning they are neurodivergent, live with a chronic illness, and/or have a disability
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Not currently working in sexual healthcare in the Netherlands or Italy.No experience using the Ask&Tell! Toolkit with queer IMMI individuals.Only used the toolkit once.Not fluent in Dutch or English.Not willing or able to participate in an online interview via video call.Healthcare professionals who work exclusively with non-queer or non-IMMI populations.

| The primary outcome measures of this study are healthcare professionals’ experiences and perceptions regarding the usability, acceptability, and effectiveness of the therapist version of the Ask&Tell! Toolkit. Specifically, the study will assess:Perceived competence and confidence in providing inclusive and affirming sexual health education to queer and IMMI patients.Usability and practicality of the toolkit within clinical practice, including how easily healthcare professionals can integrate it into their consultations.Perceived impact of the toolkit on communication quality, patient engagement, and the inclusivity of sexual health discussions.Identified barriers and facilitators to the toolkit’s implementation and sustained use in healthcare settings.Suggestions for improvement and adaptations based on user feedback.Data on these outcomes will be collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically to identify recurring themes and insights. | — |
