Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: To be eligible to participate in this study, a participant must meet all of the following criteria: Age = 18 years Postoperative patients scheduled for an admission on the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Written informed consent from the patient
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients who meet any of the following criteria will be excluded from participating in this study:Currently being treated for severe chronic pain Patients who do not understand Dutch or English Substance abuse (drugs or alcohol) Patients with postoperative daycare admission (=24 hours) Patients after revision surgery within the same admission Refusal to participate Admission to critical care unit Patients with communication impairment and expressive limitations
