Age
2 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Treatment with MDI (multiple dose injections, subcutaneous insulin injections) or AHCL  (advanced hybrid closed loop pump therapy) At least one year of treatment with either MDI or AHCL  Ages >3 and <18 years 

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Hypo- of hyperthyroidism Celiac disease Diabetes type 2 MODY (pathogenic mutation) Eating disorder (e.g. anorexia nervosa of bulimia nervosa

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Change in BMI SDS during treatment with AHCL, compared to change in BMI SDS during treatment with MDI. The outcome is based on age, weight and length, which is measured every four months at the outpatient clinic. 

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Cardiovascular risk factors: (systolic) blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, liver enzymes.  Blood glucose regulation: HbA1c, Time-In-Range.
