18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age>18 years Able to walk independently (possibly with walking aid)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age < 18 years Weight > 200 kg (maximum of device) Viral or bacterial infection less than 10 days ago Contra-indications for maximal exercise In case of persons with amputation: Bilateral amputation Amputation of the upper limb(s) In case of persons with acquired brain injury (hemiparesis): Severe cognitive impairments Severe communication impairments Spasticity that impedes cycling

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Maximal exercise test: oxygen consumption, ventilation, Respiratory Exchange Ratio, carbon dioxide production, Heart Rate, Power Output, Revolutions Per Minute, and 10-point Borg Scale (CR-10) for local and central perceived exertion at peak power output.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
6-minute walk test: the distance in meters, 10-point Borg Scale (CR-10) for local and central perceived exertion, heart rate.
