Interventions
The control group will receive no supplementation. The two intervention groups that will undergo the removel of fracture fixation material will receive either once or twice 5 grams of oral L-citrullin
14 days prior to the surgery to remove the OSM. Bone marrow will be harvested 
from the iliac crest during surgery and centrifuged to create BMAC. Another group of patients undergoing a BMAC procedure for a non-union will receive 5gr citrulline daily.

Eligibility
Age
18 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Age >18 years - Patients are planned for the removal of OSM under general anaesthesia or spinal anaesthesia where the iliac crest is anesthetized.- Patients planned for a reconstructive surgery of a non-union fracture of the tibia or femur using BMAC as grafting material.
