Conditions

Bone metabolism osteogenic differentiation Bone growth

Interventions

The control group will receive no supplementation. The two intervention groups that will undergo the removel of fracture fixation material will receive either once or twice 5 grams of oral L-citrullin
14 days prior to the surgery to remove the OSM. Bone marrow will be harvested&nbsp
from the iliac crest during surgery and centrifuged to create BMAC. Another group of patients undergoing a BMAC procedure for a non-union will receive 5gr citrulline daily.&nbsp
