Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Dutch native speaker - Between 18 and 55 years of age; - Right handed - Self-reported normal (or corrected to normal) vision in both eyes. - Thorough experience with mediation, familiar with the FAM (e.g. Deep Meditiation, Vipassana & Zen) and OMM (e.g. Mindfulness) techniques These criteria will be assessed by a self-report questionnaire administered during screening, which the participants will sign to confirm the answers.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Non-native speaker of Dutch. - Left handed. - No / not enough experience with meditation. - Significant history of head trauma . - Hypertension. - Use of anti-depressants or psychotropic medication (e.g. benzodiazepines) - Possible pregnancy (in adult females). - In general, participants should not report any history of psychiatric problems and neurological disorders, and should not currently use any medication that could influence cognition and blood flow in the brain (e.g. benzodiazepines, anti-depressants, according to standard fMRI protocol when testing healthy participants). - MRI contra-indications, including metal implants and claustrophobia, as assessed with standard LIBC MRI contra-indication checklist. These criteria will be assessed by a self-report questionnaire administered during screening, which the participants will sign to confirm the answers.

| We will additionally include mood measurements in the GLM analyses of the fMRI data, as possible confounders of the behavioural measures. Psychohysiological measures: heart rate, respiration rate will also be included in the analyses of the fMRI signal as possible confounders of the BOLD signal. Behavioral data of creativity tasks and fMRI neural signals will be associated to study possible predictive relationships. Moreover, structural morphometry / signal intensity and connectivity will be taken into account to explain possible effects seen in functional connectivity when comparing the different cognitive states. | — |
