Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: * Stroke that occurred when subject was 18-80 years of age * Chronic stroke (>6 months post onset; first or recurrent, ischemic or intracerebral hemorrhagic lesion) * Diagnosed visuospatial neglect and/or spatial neglect symptoms (either left or right sided) * Sufficient comprehension and communication skills
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: * Currently engaging in cognitive rehabilitation treatment or specific neglect treatment * Physically or mentally unable to participate (e.g. to perform the neglect training) * Hemianopsia * Severe communicative disability * Local scalp injuries * Eczema on scalp or psoriasis * (Neuro)psychiatric or neurodegenerative diseases including diagnosed epilepsy, dementia, serious depression, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson*s disease, Huntington*s disease on the basis of clinical judgement * Current alcohol and/or drug abuse * Pregnancy

| Secondary objectives and outcomes: - To determine whether neglect training complemented with tACS treatment in chronic stroke patients suffering from neglect ameliorates neglect behavior in basic activities of daily living (ADL) to a larger extent compared to neglect training with sham stimulation. We administer additional tasks to assess neglect behavior in basic ADL, namely the Baking Tray Task, the Catherine Bergego Scale, and the Subjective Neglect Questionnaire. - To determine whether tACS delivered to the contralesional parietal cortex at alpha frequency, elevates the endogenous alpha power in parietal and parietal-occipital regions, compared to sham stimulation, in chronic stroke patients suffering from neglect. With electroencephalography (EEG) we measure the difference in power of alpha frequency band between baseline and the 1-week follow-up session, for tACS compared to control group. | — |
