Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 64 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Diagnosed with a GHB use disorder according to the DSM V • Undergoing GHB detoxification through pharmaceutical GHB titration and tapering • 18 years or older

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Patient who have acute psychiatric co-morbidity that require immediate medical attention and interferes with the execution of the study, such as mania, delirium and psychosis • Insufficient understanding of the Dutch language • Patients with a phobia of needles • Patient is pregnant (this will be checked upon admission as a part of the regular treatment protocol)

Cytokines IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-a, and oxidative stress markers malondialdehyde (MDA), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPX), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and 8-OHdG
