Gezonde proefpersonen, geen aandoeningen. Onderzoek naar orgaanbeweging. In de toekomst, bij kankerpatiënte: tumor en organen. organ motion
Conditions
Interventions
After informed consent and enrolment, volunteers will be trained to feel safe
and comfortable while being mechanically ventilated via a face mask, and to
breath-hold safely with air, 60%O2, and 60%O

Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| * The primary outcomes include the motion magnitude of the diaphragm, the liver, spleen, pancreas and kidneys in three orthogonal directions (cranial-caudal, left-right, and anteroposterior); the extent of organ motion under the different breathing patterns will be compared within and between training sessions to assess reproducibility | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| * The secondary outcome is the comparison of residual organ motion magnitude during prolonged breath-holds with that during prolonged apnea plus PEEP with 60%O2 using the ventilator. | — |
