Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients with understanding of the Dutch language, aged 18 years or older and presenting at the Dizziness clinic with a diagnosis of definite or probable BPPV according to the *Consensus Document of the Committee for the Classification of Vestibular Disorders of the Bárány Society*.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Severe disability (e.g. neurological, orthopedic, cardiovascular) or serious concurrent illness that might interfere with taking blood samples
