Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Patients referred to the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of the AMC for elective cardiac surgery -Patients with no previous history of oral diseases or oral surgery -Patients that signed an informed consent form -Patients > 18 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patients with a previous history of oral disease or oral surgery, having maxillofacial trauma or ear nose throat tumors -Patients that did not sign an informed consent form -Patients
