Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Noncardiac surgical patients at high risk of perioperative cardiac complications, defined by: - 45 years of age or older and Revised Cardiac Risk Index * 2, OR - aged *65 years and undergoing intermediate or high-risk procedures Participation in MET-REPAIR study (NCT03016936)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: * Non-elective surgery * Acute coronary syndrome or uncontrolled congestive heart failure within the last 30 days * Stroke within the last 7 days of planned day of surgery * Patients unable to perform ambulation * Minors or legally incompetent subjects * Patients unable or unwilling to participate * Previous enrollment in this study (in case of repeated surgery within duration of the study)
