Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Scheduled for the first TKA, age ranging from 50 to 75 years old and able to walk at least 10 minutes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: former replacements of lower extremities; comorbidities that influence gait; BMI > 35.

Measure	Time frame
Gait adaptability, measured as mean precision of stepping on the targets projected on the treadmill and functional recovery as measured with the Timed-Up-and-Go (TUG) test: The time it takes a patient to rise from a chair, walk 3 meters, turn, and return to sitting in the same chair.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
Secondary, the amount of co-contraction of knee muscles (Co-contraction Index) and gait pattern deviation (Gait Deviation Index) will be determined.	—
