18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Primairy TKA placement, cruciated retained, minimal 1 year postoperative

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Total hip or contralateral total knee replacement surgery in the past year

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary study parameter will be the difference in midflexion laxity between the two groups measured in millimeters on the medial or lateral side with either valgus or varus stress in 30 degrees of knee flexion.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary study parameters are the differences in outcome between the two group regarding the 3 functional tests: (6 minute walk test, stair climb test, static Quadriceps power test). Furthermore, quality-of-live assessment via the EQ-5D-5L questionnaire and specific instability complains of the knee, via the Lysholm questionnaire, will be compared between the two groups.
