18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Aged between 18-75 years old -Dutch native speakers -No reports of tinnitus;For NH participants: -Hearing thresholds of 15 dB HL or better at octave frequencies between 0.25 and 8 kHz, of at least one ear. For hearing impaired participants: -Mild to moderate sloping sensorineural hearing loss of the best ear

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: If the subject for whichever reason cannot participate in the test. Examples include problems with sight or concentration.

Measure	Time frame
The different outcome measures are speech intelligibility (in terms of words correct as well as the signal to noise ratio (SNR) at which 50% is correctly repeated), detectability of differences between temporal settings and overall preference (derived from paired comparison ratings). Results of the NH group are compared with results of the HI group.	—
