Age
18 Years to 64 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Unilateral transtibial amputation - >= 1 year prosthetic walker - K2 and K3 level walkers - Using a vacuum socket suspension - Understand Dutch

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Additional orthopaedic devices (excluding insoles) - Neurologic problems affecting gait - Affected contralateral leg (healthy leg) - Uncorrected visual impairments - Epilepsy

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Energy cost (J/kg/m) and peak positive ankle power of the prosthetic and sound side. All variables will be measured during level, ascending and descending treadmill walking.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Energy expenditure (J/kg/min), spatiotemporal gait parameters, kinetics and kinematics of pelvis, hip, knee and ankle and muscle activation patterns. All variables will be measured during level, ascending and descending treadmill walking.
