Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy subjects between the age of 18 and 25 years having mild facial pimples and blemishes, able to read Dutch and willing the participate For more details see CIP Chapter 6.3

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of any medication that makes skin thinner or more photosensitive, use of any prescribed medication to treat pimples or intention to make any significant changes in their (facial) routine that affects their pimples, extensive UV exposure last three weeks, condition in the target area that affects the measurement, history with cancer, suffering from epilepsy or any other condition that affects the participation

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary objective is to collect images on which early pimple markers can be identified by a skin expert review or algorithm at least 1 day before they are visible (visible or tangible) for the subject (self-detection). The primary endpoint of the study is to proof if the earlier detection of early pimple markers by the chosen measurement methods is possible before the pimples are noticeable by the volunteers.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary objectives are: - Determine if it is possible to identify pimples on facial images at least 1 day before they are visible on the image to an expert (expert-detection) - Get an indication of the size of time difference between self-detection, expert-detection and early detection - Develop an algorithm to automatically detect early pimple markers The outcome measures are: * Proof if detection of early pimple markers by the chosen measurement methods is possible before the pimples are visible on images for an expert * A definition of what is earlier detection in terms of time resolution (how many days) * Potentially, an algorithm to automatically detect early pimple markers
