2 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients: 1. Established diagnosis of X-ALD or ZSD (either biochemically and/or genetically). 2. Must be able to undergo ophthalmological examination and optical coherence tomography, i.e. must be able to follow instructions and not move for several minutes.;Subjects eligible to participate as healthy controls must meet all of the following criteria: 1. Willing to visit the hospital* 2. 12 years or older 3. Informed consent obtained from participant* 4. Informed consent obtained from participant or legal guardian in case of a minor

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient or control: 1. Pre-existing eye disease that creates confounders in interpretation of OCT measurements 2. Unable to follow instructions, which makes ophtalmological examination and OCT impossible (e.g. age or mental retardation)
