Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients scheduled for primary laparoscopic roux-en-y gastric bypass (LRYGB) or primary laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Other bariatric surgical procedures than LRYGB or LSG, such as laparoscopich gastric banding or revisional surgery

1. Which biomarkers have a good agreement with PSG results, preoperatively? Could these biomarkers distinguish OSA/non-OSA patients, and no/mild/moderate/severe OSA patients?

2. What is the effect of bariatric surgery on these OSA associated biomarkers? 3. Are there biomarkers that predict the amelioration of OSA after bariatric surgery? 4. What is the relationship between OSA associated biomarkers, weight loss and other weight associated existing comorbidities including type II diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidemia? Including medication use.
