Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The subjects must meet all of the following criteria, to participate in the study: -BMI: 18.5 - 30 kg/m2 (including normal and overweight) -Age: 18 - 35 years old -Right-handed -Willing to participate in whole study for approximately 2-3 years -Have a mobile phone with an operating system of either iOS7 or higher (Apple) or Android 4.1 or higher. -Sufficient working memory capacity: at least 50% correct performance in the distraction task during the intake session -No ceiling effect in working memory capacity: not 100% correct performance in both low and high distraction trials in the distraction task during the intake session
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Subjects who meet any of the following criteria will be excluded for participation in this study: -Deafness, blindness, or sensori-motor handicaps -Eating disorders (Anorexia/Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder) -Extreme restrained eating -Currently in treatment with dietician -(History of) clinically significant neurological or psychiatric disorders, and current psychological treatment -Weight change >5kg in the past two months before the start of the study -Smoker -Consuming more than 28 glasses of alcohol per week -Problems with chewing and/or swallowing -Problems with smelling and/or tasting -Food allergy to one of the ingredients use in the food rewards in the experiments -Exclusion criteria for MRI: +Metal objects or fragments in the body that cannot be taken out +Active implants in the body +Using medical plasters +Epilepsy +Head surgery +Claustrophobia +Pregnant or possibly pregnant

| Predictive value of effects of distraction in brain (fMRI) and biomarker responses during consumption and during food choices on effects of distraction on subjective satiation and food intake at home, tested in a multiple linear regression statistical model. In the fMRI sessions, relevant brain activity (e.g. consumption-related processing in oro-sensory brain regions and decision-related processing in the prefrontal cortex), blood parameters of satiation, food choice and ad libitum food intake are investigated as a function of distraction. A smartphone application will monitor food intake, as well as subjective satiation at home. Distraction is manipulated in the same manner as is done in the MR scanner. | — |
