Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients: A first ever lesion in the territory of the MCA as verified by CT of MRI scan more than 6 months ago.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Both groups: 1) Any metallic implants (pacemaker etc.) , 2) orthopedic limitations that interfere with the study 3) Cranial bone defects, 4) history of epileptic seizures, 5) insufficient cognitive function (Mini Mental State Examination, MMSE

Stabilogram difussion analysis of the centre of pressure.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Posturographical measurements: Sway amplitude and velocity. Weight distribution between both legs. The instantaneous relative phase and the associated circular variance between target and COP during the tracking task. Neurophysiological measurements: Time-frequency and amplitude analysis of EEG in relevant frequency bands. Source localization using anatomical MRIs and beamforming methods. Clinical/behavioural measurements: Berg balance scale (BBS). Functional Reach Test (FRT). Falls Efficacy Scale (FES). Timed up and Go (TUG). Fall history.
