Exclusion criteria: Pre-existent pulmonary problems Hypo- or hyperventilation syndrome Use of prescribed medication BMI>35 Upper airway/esophageal/mouth or face pathology

MeasureTime frame
The main study parameter is the difference between ventilatory response with normal and increased bicarbonate level.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The second study parameter is the difference between electrical activity of the diaphragm muscle during the normal ventilatory response and after bicarbonate administration.
