Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Energy expenditure as a measure of physical activity (type, intensity) as measured by accelerometer and heart rate based pattern recognition algorithms previously developed. Energy expenditure as assessed by a standardized laboratory bound activity protocol. VO2max a measure of CRF as assessed by an incremental test on a bicycle ergometer. VO2max as a measure of CRF as estimated by a model combining heart rate levels during various activities of daily living determined by the activity recognition algorithm.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Maximal heart rate (HRmax) Resting HR Body composition (fat percentage and % fat-free mass)
