18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - Scheduled for ventilation and sedation at the ICU after elective coronary artery bypass grafting - Aged 18-65 years - Being able to give written informed consent prior to surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Pregnancy - Hemodynamic instability with a mean arterial pressure (MAP) 18 mm Hg and / or dependence on moderate to high dosages of inotropic drugs after admittance to the ICU (noradrenalin > 0.1 ug/kg/min or dobutamin > 5 ug/kg/min or adrenalin at any dose or milrinone > 0.6 ug/kg/min - Severe arrhythmias - Intra-cardiac shunts - Symptomatic peripheral vascular disease - Symptomatic pulmonary disease - Clinically significant aortic aneurysm - Significant valvular regurgitation - Prior diagnosis of aberrant cardiovascular anatomy
