Interventions

CPAP manoeuvres consisting of 3 cycles of 5 minutes of 10, 15 and 20 cm H2O respectively. A pulmonary artery catheter will be inserted transjugularly.

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients scheduled for elective coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) without valve surgery provided with informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - Prior cardiac surgery (Re-operations) - Absence of sinus rhythm - Left main disease - Canadian class IV angina pectoris - Carotid stenosis > 50% - MDRD clearance
