Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Patients who have given informed consent to participate and who at the screening visit have met all the below stated inclusion criteria.;Diagnosed with alcohol dependence according to DSM-IV criteria Age between 16-85 years Caucasian ethnicity (i.e., defined as having at least three Caucasian grandparents) A positive family history of alcohol dependence;2. Relatives who have given informed consent to participate and who at the screening visit have met all the below stated inclusion criteria.;Age between 16-85 years Caucasian ethnicity (at least three Caucasian grandparents)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age below 16 Non-caucasian
