2 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Cases: Boys and girls aged 10-24 years with a confirmed diagnosis of a primary brain tumor (benign or malignant), diagnosed during the study period in one of the participating Dutch hospitals. Controls: Boys and girls aged 10-24 years hospitalized for acute appendicitis during the study period in one of the participating Dutch hospitals. Controls will be individually matched to cases on age, sex and medical district.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cases: insufficient knowledge of the Dutch language. Controls: insufficient knowledge of the Dutch language; mental disability; history of a brain tumor.
