Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria In order to participate in the lab study, a participant must: - be 18 years or older - have consumed alcohol at least once - speak, read and write in Dutch;In order to participate in the intervention study, a participant must: - be 18 years or older - have applied for an STI test at the local GGD - speak, read and write in Dutch
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: In order to participate in the lab study, a participant may not: - already have an HIV infection (this might be an entirely different population with different norms for unsafe sexual behaviour, so they are excluded in this research) - have a history of alcohol dependence (self report) - have suffered a brain injury in the past resulting in neuropsychological problems - currently suffering from a depression;In order to participate in the intervention studies, a participant may not: - already have an HIV infection - currently suffering from a depression

| For our laboratory study, we cannot use a direct measurement of sexual risk behaviour, we will therefore assess sexual risk behaviour using an adapted approach-avoidance task. In this task, one can measure in an implicit way how much a subject is inclined to either approach or avoid a certain stimulus. In this study, the stimulus will be pictures of unsafe sexual behaviour. To test the effect of our interventions, a questionnaire assessing their sexual risk behaviour of the last three months will be used as our main study parameter. | — |

| For our laboratory study we will use other outcomes besides the approach-avoidance task. These are: *EEG data: We will measure working memory by using an auditory oddball task. The event-related potential (ERP) belonging to this task will be used as our dependent measure of working memory. *Implicit Association Task (IAT): The IAT is a computer task that can measure what people's implicit associations are. In this case we will investigate their implicit associations for unsafe sexual behaviour. *IOWA Gambling Task: The IOWA Gambling Task is a measure that will assess how much general risk behaviour people exhibit. In our intervention study we will also use EEG data to measure working memory as a secondary parameter. | — |
