Age
2 Years to 17 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: - age 2-18 year - able to walk independantly (possible with walking aid like orthopedic shoes or walker) - moderate to severe intellectual disbality - completed physical activity readiness questionnaire (PARQ) - informed consent of both parents or gardian

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: - behavioral problems that might worsen by participating in this study - medical problems that might worsen by participating in this study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The main parameter is physical fitness. This consists of four components: body composition (height, weight, waist circumference), muscle strength (standing long jump, throwing a bag), muscular endurance (stair climbing) and cardiorespiratory endurance (6-minute walk test).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
In addition, the motor and cognitive developmental age, lifestyle (nutrition and physical activity), functional independence and characteristics of the participants are assessed.
