18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Between 18 en 70 years of age 2. Diagnosis of Posttraumatic stress-disorder, as established with a structured interview (MINI). 3. At least moderate severity of PTSD symptoms (PSS-SR score > 20) 4. History of interpersonal trauma 5. Internet access and desktop computer

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Psychosis or delusion disorders (current or in the past) 2. Suicidality 3. Mental retardation 4. Substance abuse or dependence or alcohol abuse or dependence 5. Insufficient ability to speak and write Dutch

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Our main outcome is appraisal style, as expressed by the *Appraisal Score*. Furthermore, we want to investigate if CBM-app training influences negative cognitions post training, as measured by the Post Traumatic Cognition Inventory (PTCI).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
- Interpretation bias will be measured with the Word Sentence Association Paradigm (WSAP). - Further, participants provide information on PTSD symptoms (Posttraumatic Scale Self-Report, PSS-SR) via self-report. - Finally, we will investigate if CBM-app training influences negative cognitions post training, as measured by the frequency and credibility of their most important, trauma-related cognition and by the frequency and amount of distress provoked by their most important, trauma-related re-experience in the preceding week (Hagenaars, et al., 2010).
