Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age 65-85 and able to walk without a walking aid for at least 15 minutes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Neuromuscular, cognitive, or orthopaedic impairments that affect balance ability, impair sway movements in lateral direction or increase the risk of injury when performing daily activities. (examples: Parkinson*s Disease, knee prosthesis implanted and still in rehabilitation, Alzheimer*s Disease etc.) -BMI of 30+ -Eye- or hearing impairments that might affect balance ability or gaming experience. (Example: glasses are no problem, but glaucoma or visual hem-neglect will affect the interaction with the game) -Use of medicine that might affect balance ability. -Not understanding Dutch language

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Amplitude and frequency of body sway, root mean square value of trunk movement in lateral direction, harmonicity ratio (= smoothness of the sway movement), sample entropy (predictability of the signal). In addition pattern recognition methods will be employed to quantify whole body movements during the weight shifting task.

Secondary
