Inclusion criteria: Patients undergoing carotid endarterectomy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients requiring a blood transfusion prior to surgery Patients with an inappropriate temporal bone window for TCD Patients on vitamin K antagonists Patients with an artificial cardiac valve
