Age
18 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: -impaired glucose tolerant subjects and type 2 diabetes will be selected according to the ADA diagnostic criteria -age between 40 and 65 years
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: -impaired renal or liver function, obesity (BMI>35 kg/m2), cardiac disease, overt diabetic complications

| The 'normal' blood glucose profiles of type 2 diabetes patients will be assessed during the control trials. The exercise intervention trials will assess the change in 24h blood glucose profiles after a session of exercise. As such, the glycemic profile obtained during the trials will be the primary outcome parameter. | — |
