Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Patients fulfill the American College of Rheumatolgy criteria for rheumatoid arthritis. -DAS-28 score > 3.2 -Indication for treatment with rituximab. -Female/male patients 18-80yrs of age. -Mentally able to understand the written information and to make the decision to participate -informed consent.

Exclusion criteria: -Pregnancy -Diabetes Mellitus (fasting blood glucose> 7.0mmol/L -Renal impairment (eGFR
