Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Cortical excitability: Single-pulse TMS will be used to examine changes in excitability of the left primary motor cortex in response to the presentation of bodily in combination with facial expressions and an fictitious emergency with different people (the bystander effect). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Long Interval Cortical Inhibition: Paired-pulse TMS will be used to examine intracortical nhibitory processes of the left primary motor cortex in response to the presentation of bodily and facial expressions. The motor evoked potential (MEP) is the dependent variable and MEP amplitude following TMS will be measured from two Ag-AgCl-tipped electrodes attached the surface of the abductor pollicis brevis of the right hand and indicative for action preparation in the primary motor cortex. | — |
