Inclusion criteria: Students of whom a stored serum samples prior to the beginning of the mumps outbreaks in September 2009 is available at the faculty. >= 18 jaar

Symptomatic and asymptomatic mumps virus attack rates among fully vaccinated students through the analysis of specific (IgG) antibody responses prior to, and in response to mumps virus infection.	—

Secondary

Measure	Time frame
• To estimate a serological correlate for immune protection against symptomatic mumps virus infection and asymptomatic mumps virus infection among fully vaccinated students by defining antibody titres necessary to protect against symptomatic mumps and asymptomatic mumps • To assess the seroresponse of mumps infection among incompletely vaccinated students and (if possible) the mumps attack rate in this group.	—
