Interventions

All subjects will be exposed to their standard meals for respectively 4 weeks or 12 weeks and changed meals with products from organic origin in a new setting for 8 weeks (experimetal group only),

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants will be included if: - They are due to somatic disorders long-term residents in the nursing home *De Watersteeg Veghel* or 'Vita Nova Oss' - They have signed the informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants will be excluded if: -They suffer from advanced psycho-geriatric disorders such as Alzheimer, Parkinson or dementia. -They are revalidating -They did not sign the informed consent -They prefer to consume their meals alone in their room

- Nutritional status of the elderly people in the nursing home - Perceived quality of life of the elderly people in the nursing home - Mental state of the elderly people in the nursing home - Meal satisfaction by the elderly people in the nursing home - Costs analyses e.g. care request, drug use and amount of dietary supplements throughout the day Further background information will be collected from the patient dossier on - Age - Gender - Length of stay - Primary Diagnosis - Dental status - Help Index - Medication Use - Use of dietary supplements
