Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Indication for renal replacement therapy within 1 or 2 years (MDRD 25 ml/min) 2. 18 years and above

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Participants must have sufficient understanding of written and spoken Dutch (in order to be able to give fully informed consent and to complete the questionnaires).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcomes are change in knowledge, attitude, and communication about RRT among both the patient and their family and friends.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary outcome is the proportion of patients who undergo haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis or pre-emptive transplantation as their first form of RRT.
