Inclusion criteria: expected >3 days on mechanical ventilation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Stroke as reason for admission, quadriplegia due to spinal cord disorder, neuromuscular disorder as reason for admission, patients with documented polyneuropathy or autonomic neuropathy in medical history
