Interventions

Two groups (one follicular and one luteal
both n=20) receive 4 capsules containing 400 mg tryptophan, resulting in a total dose of 1.6 g tryptophan. Two groups (one follicular and one luteal
both n=20) receive 4 placebo capsules.

18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy women, Dutch-speaking Age 18-30 BMI 18-35 Regular menstrual cycle (22-35 days)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of sex hormones or hormonal contraceptives Use of tryptophan supplements Medical or psychiatric illness, or medication use Breastfeeding Smoking of drug use
