Age
18 Years to 99 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: COPD, GOLD class 2-4. age 40-80 y Patientes who are hospitalized with an exacerbation or visit the outpatient clinic of the hospital
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. comorbidity such as malignancies causing a life expectancy shorter than 1 year. 2. inability to fill out questionnaires or perform exercise tests 3. inability to undergo psychotherapy

| Levels of anxiety and depression, the other CRQ-domains (fatigue, mastery, emotional function), change in illness perception, exercise capacity (step counter) and healthcare use. Mediating effects, i.e. to see whether improvements in perceived control (Mastery), illness cognitions (IPQ) and self-management tasks are associated with a better outcome on QoL in both groups. | — |
