Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patients who underwent an amputation due to serious CRPS-*, with life threatening ulcers or infections, or unbearable and therapy resistant pain in a none functional limb that had a negative influence on the possibilities of participation in daily life, in the period of May 2000 to October 2008, in the University Medical Centre of Groningen.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients will be excluded if they have insufficient knowledge of Dutch to fill out the questionnaires. Patients under the age of 18 will be excluded.

| Descriptive. Results of a semi-structured interview with questions about reported satisfaction after amputation, coping style, body scheme, locus of control, current stump pain, current phantom pain, recurrence of the disease, avoidance behaviour. Perceived changes after amputation in: pain, mobility, ADL activities, house holding, work, hobbies, sports, relationships, intimacy, mood, appearance, worrying, sleeping, future expectations. Results of the questionnaire Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). And results of a short physical exam of the limb for signs of recurrence of CRPS-*, by using criteria of the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) and the criteria of Bruehl. | — |
