Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients clinically suspected of IBD (chronic diarrhoea, abdominal pain) and endoscopic lesions suggestive for IBD. All patients must be >18 years old and give informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with a history of stomach resection, Helicobacter pylori treatment in the last six months, and patients in whom discontinuation of NSAID*s or proton pomp inhibitor (PPI*s) is absolutely contraindicated.
