Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome variables are body composition as determined with BIA and BOD POD respectively. These will be compared with body composition as determined by deuterium dilution. Comparison will be performed by using: - graphical comparison (XY plots of BIA versus D2O and BOP POD versus D2O) and - using regression analysis with BIA and BOD POD as dependant variables, respectively and D2O as independent variable. - root mean square prediction of error (RMSE) - Concordance correlation coefficient (CCC). - Bland Altman plot (bias and limits of agreement). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| As secondary outcome measures we will compare BIA versus SFT, botpot versus SFT, BIA versus WHtR, BOD POD versus WHtR and BMI versus WHtR, using: Pearson product moment correlations. Bland Altman plot (bias and limits of agreement). Because of gender specific normal values, BMI will be assessed for boys and girls separately. Age is standardized (all children are age 5). Waist to height ratio is standardized, independent of age and gender. | — |
