Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
-The percentage of CD8 T-cells that is apoptosis-resistant, compared to healthy, age matched, controls.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
-The percentage of CD8 T-cells that shows an exhausted phenotype, compared to healthy controls. -The copie number of HIV-1 RNA in plasma, with a test that can detect numbers as low as 5 copies per ml plasma. -The percentage of CD8 T-cells that is specific for CMV or EBV. -The TREC numbers in all subpopulations of the CD8 T-cell compartment (naive, memory and effector cells).
