Age
18 Years to 99 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: healthy subjects (18 years old or older.)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: when tracheotomy is necessary when facial mask or laryngeal mask anaesthesia in indicated patients under 18 years of age patients of non-Caucasian descent patients requiring non-standard blade sizes other than three or four patients with an ASA score above III

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The main study parameters are the intubation times obtained during laryngoscopy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The secondary study parameters are: Cormack Lehane grades; the need for extra tools (e.g. stylet) in order to intubate the patient. Finally a subjective assessment of the practical ease of using the device is given.
